At Metko, We’re All in This Together

It is no surprise to anyone reading this that daily living costs are rising. The Consumer Price Index – which measures the costs of goods in America such as housing, gas, and food – reported a 7.9% increase in prices over the past year. This price increase is the most significant increase in inflation Americans have seen in 40 years! 

Businesses, of course, are not immune to these price increases either. So while it is important to us at Metko that the business continues to succeed financially, it is equally vital that our people thrive. We know that inflation is hitting middle-class families particularly hard. To help mitigate this, Metko has started a Gas Stimulus program for all employees, including interns. Each month we will hand out Kwik Trip gas cards to help offset both the prices at the pump and other inflationary items, such as groceries. March was the first month of the program, which will continue in the near future.

At Metko, we know that when our employees do well, the company does well. We eschew the mentality of “management vs. employees.” Instead, we prefer to look at any problems as if “we’re all in this together.” We are always looking for good people.
