Many Wisconsin manufacturing companies were in attendance to show their support. John Kuhn, Packer Pro Bowl fullback, was also in attendance and spoke about leadership and teamwork. Past directors of NEWMA talked about how the manufacturer-led organization has continued to evolve over the past 15 years because of the collaborative efforts of many.
“In 2006, a few manufacturers united to work towards creating a better image for the manufacturing industry. As a result, it has grown to over 300 members representing over 70,000 manufacturing employees working in the 18 counties of Northeast Wisconsin, working with educators, workforce development, chambers of commerce, and state organizations to promote manufacturing in the Northeast Wisconsin region. Over the 15 years, NEWMA has teamed up with educational institutions and manufacturers to create manufacturing career programs for the next generation.
The Alliance has also supported over $325,000 in scholarships for students pursuing a manufacturing career. The Alliance’s vision is that every northeast Wisconsin manufacturer will find the talent it needs, and we will continue that mission for years to come!” –NEWMA
Congratulations to NEWMA and their incredible impact on Wisconsin manufacturing!
